Headline: Rural Peer Support Fundamentals Training Offered April 23 & 30, 2024

Stigma-Free Society’s mission is to offer educational tools and leadership which foster awareness of stigma around mental health, providing pathways to change. Rural Peer Support Fundamentals Training is one of the ways that we work to reduce stigma around mental health by training people within rural and agricultural communities on the fundamentals of peer support and how to implement a peer support group within one’s community.

We are excited to inform you about our upcoming Rural Peer Support Fundamentals Training, offered over two days on April 23 and 30 from 8:30amPDT – 3:00pmPDT/10:30amCDT – 5:00pmCDT.

This program, facilitated by our training partner Sara Riel Inc. has been instrumental in empowering individuals in rural and agricultural communities with the tools and knowledge they need to support their communities & mental wellness.

As a result of participating in this unique training opportunity, participants will be able to:

  • Apply peer support skills in one-on-one and group settings;
  • Help others by sharing your personal experiences;
  • Facilitate your own peer support groups;
  • Practice self-care and prioritize your mental wellness
