If you are a changemaker who is passionate about helping others, our Peer Support Fundamentals Training will equip you with the tools to become a leader in your rural community. Offered in partnership with Sara Riel Inc., this training is designed to empower rural residents to becomepeer support facilitators and eradicate mental health stigma. Throughout this training, you will learn how to deliver effective peer support and start your own peer support program. You will also discover new strategies to care for your mental health.

Rural residents are often burdened with more stigma than those living in urban areas. In our training, you will learn valuable skills that enable you to combat this stigma and provide effective mental health support to people in your community.

By the end of the sessions, you will be equipped to:

- Apply peer support skills in one-on-one and group settings
- Help others by sharing your personal experiences
- Facilitate your own peer support groups
- Practice self-care and prioritize your mental wellness
