Stigma-Free Mental Health Society’s Rural Minds Matter Program aims to eliminate mental health stigma that is prevalent in rural and agricultural areas. The program is tailored for farmers, agricultural workers, those who support producers, and rural residents, who wish to improve their mental wellness and help others on their journey. We provide valuable tools and tailored peer support training for those dedicated to raising mental health awareness and making a difference in their communities.
Rural Minds Matter
Delivering anti-stigma & mental health resources with a focus on peer support training across Canada to residents living in agricultural and rural/remote areas. The goal is to educate on the topic of mental health, and help eliminate stigma for those needing help.
Fostering Stigma-Free Rural Communities
The program offers resources that are relevant to the current challenges faced by agricultural and rural residents. Our resources combat stigma with education, empowering people to foster positive change and create inclusive, compassionate rural communities.
At Stigma-Free Mental Health, we believe it is important to acknowledge people’s lived experiences in all of our endeavours. The Rural Minds Matter Peer Support Training provides a platform for individuals to share their stories and inspire community peer groups across Canada.
