Pacific is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and is currently pursuing a second degree in Psychology at University of Manitoba. Pacific was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but due to civil wars, his family was forced to flee to Uganda when he was still young. Life as a refugee came with countless challenges—one of the biggest was adapting to a new education system and culture.

Because he didn’t speak the language well, he was demoted from grade 8 to grade 4. That was one of the hardest moments of his life. He felt embarrassed and discouraged, especially when younger students started bullying him due to age difference. School which was supposed to be a place of learning and growth, became a place of isolation and rejection. Over time, he began working harder in his studies, determined not to let his struggles define him. Eventually, he started excelling in certain subjects and even became the top student in his class.

Pacific is someone who has faced immense challenges as a young refugee, navigating the uncertainties of a new life while overcoming struggles with identity, belonging, and mental health. Through these experiences, he learned the power of resilience, hope, and a strong mindset. Now, he is committed to encouraging students by sharing his journey and teaching the importance of mental health and mindset education. Pacific’s goal is to inspire young people to believe in themselves, embrace their struggles as stepping stones to success, and cultivate a mindset that empowers them to overcome any obstacle life throws their way.
