I grew up in the rural north of British Columbia and have seen first-hand the disparities in different cities when it comes to the social norms related to mental health. I used to be in a sport called Tae Kwon Do, and in this sport, I earned the prestigious ranking of a third-degree black belt. At this time, I taught students at a young age and had to plan how I would teach people either younger than me, or the same age. This experience has made me into a confident leader and has always been something I utilize in my everyday life. All these things put together has made me want to help others, and guide people down a path of resilience, determination, and self-education.

I am from Prince Rupert, a rural northern city in BC, where I grew-up with my grandparents. Currently I am attending the University of Victoria where I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology. After obtaining this degree my plan is to go-on to complete a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I believe this job is incredibly salient to the world of Psychology, and I am more than honoured to have discussions about stigmatization to the up-and-coming generations!
