Ishita (she/her) is a community builder and facilitator with a passion for inclusivity and championing under-heard voices. Growing up in Los Angeles, New Delhi, and Vancouver has given her a global perspective on mental health challenges faced by young people today. She brings a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was a recipient of the International Leader of Tomorrow Award at UBC. With a passion for mental health advocacy and anti-ableist approaches, she works to disrupt the status quo by spreading awareness and combating stigma. She believes greatly in the power of storytelling, and loves to read fantasy and science-fiction novels in her spare time. Her four-year-old cat, Pihu, takes her on adventures across the Vancouver area and you might see them in a garden or park with a good book on a sunny day.
