Empowering young people to Eliminate Stigma
The Stigma-Free Mental Health Society is proud to introduce our groundbreaking initiative, Stigma-Free Clubs, designed to create a safe and supportive environment for students in schools, post-secondary institutions and youth-serving organizations. These clubs serve as a powerful platform for promoting awareness, combating stigma, and fostering a culture of acceptance and understanding.
Stigma-Free Clubs bring together young people who are passionate about mental health advocacy. Through engaging activities, open discussions, and education, youth become ambassadors of change within their schools and communities.

Key Features:
Peer Support and Connection
Stigma-Free Clubs provide a dedicated space where young people can connect with peers, share their experiences, and support one another in a nonjudgmental environment. Education and Awareness
The clubs offer educational resources and workshops to increase awareness and understanding of different stigmas and challenges faced by individuals. Young people gain knowledge about stigmatized conditions, prejudices, and biases, equipping them to make informed decisions and be proactive in encouraging acceptance and inclusivity.
Advocacy and Community Engagement
Stigma-Free Clubs encourage young people to become advocates for diversity and inclusion by organizing awareness campaigns, events, and initiatives within their schools and local communities. This active engagement helps break down barriers and fosters open conversations about stigmatized topics.
Skills Development
The program provides opportunities for young people to develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Through planning and organizing club activities, young people enhance their abilities to effectively collaborate, advocate for change, and create Stigma-Free communities.
